Job Description

-The EHS Manager will be responsible for collaborating with management to execute company EHS policies and ensure compliance to all applicable local and national regulations

-Manage day-to-day operations of EHS such as life and fire safety, STP, safety audits etc

-By leveraging lean principles and Kaizens, this individual will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes to ensure a safe and healthful working environment for our Associates

-Must demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and influence change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis

-Must be an effective communicator and send clear, concise and consistent messages, both verbally and in writing

-Must instruct and train Operations Leaders in company EHS policies and assist them in incorporating the safety standards at site

-Identify best practices and incorporate these best practices into our standards to continuously improve company safety policies

-Possess excellent safety program and relevant safety, environmental and ergonomic knowledge and demonstrates this expertise when working with Operations

-Must lead the team for all internal and external audits pertaining to ISO 14001/ 45001 and OHSAS 18001

-Lead a team of EHS associates. This individual must create and execute leadership development plans for the EHS Associates

-Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable BOSCH Safety Policies

-Measure the sites’ performance against published requirements in safety policies. For all deficiencies, identify a plan for the site to implement and fix all identified deficiencies

-Ensure safety record keeping and data integrity and provides management with accurate reporting and metrics to support business safety initiatives

-Audit record keeping practices and Safety Database entries to ensure compliance to BOSCH global safety standards and local regulations

-Audit the workplace, labs and Associate behaviors to ensure that training, auditing and scoring methods are accurate and consistent

-Ensure site leadership and Associates are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy

-This position will also be responsible for canteen operations and Bangalore locations. Knowledge on Canteen administration and food quality is necessary

Key skills/ requirements

-Must possess rich knowledge of local/ national/ global EHS regulations

-15+ years of experience in corporate EHS role

-Should have handled a team of 3-5 employees

-Excellent verbal/ written communication

-Exposure to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards

-Lead/ Internal auditor certification of the above standards is a plus
